But while there is a lot to celebrate in our past, there is almost as much opportunity ahead of us. To continue accelerating the growth of our venerable flagship consumer backup service, we’re looking for a Sr. Marketing Manager to work closely with the general manager to conceptualize, create, and execute highly impactful campaigns. This is a highly strategic role that will be responsible for our 14-year old award winning Computer Backup service. Your job will be to bring in more customers, retain them, and upsell them into our other products and services. With a wide-range of first-party and third party channels and tools at your disposal, you’ll hit the ground running and have an immediate impact on the bottom-line.  

 

What You'll Do:

  • Segment our audience to craft highly targeted messaging
  • Conduct user research and surveys to improve our understanding of prospects and customers
  • Create campaign briefs for all stages of the funnel including - paid user acquisition
  • Partner closely with the creative, editorial, and engineering teams to execute campaigns
  • Analyze campaign performance for ROI and strive for constant improvement
  • Engage the Backblaze community with programs designed to help them become super-fans and evangelists 
  • Work with vendors and contractors to scale up and down as necessary

The Right Fit:

  • 5+ years of consumer SaaS marketing experience
  • A strong working knowledge of growth and email marketing, funnel optimization, cross selling, and affiliate sales
  • A working knowledge of the tools we use (or similar): Hubspot, Optimizely, HotJar, JustUno, Google Analytics, Tableau, to name a few! 
  • Very strong writing,  interpersonal and communication skills
  • A customer-centric mindset
