Support Technician

But while there is a lot to celebrate in our past, there is almost as much opportunity ahead of us. We are seeking a Support Technician!

What You’ll Do:

  • Answer questions commonly found in the FAQ.
  • Help users install and uninstall programs on Mac and PC.
  • Use clear communication via email and live chat.
  • Learn how to navigate the Zendesk support tool and create helpful macros and workflow views.
  • Respond to all tickets assigned to you in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Support Team daily in person and/or via video conferencing
  • Ask questions of Senior agents to grow your knowledge base.
  • Obtain skills and knowledge for growth and advancement.
  • Develop a de-escalating tone in written communications.
  • Learn to troubleshoot difficult technical issues.
  • Learn to recognize and identify patterns in incoming tickets and chats and escalate those trends to Support Leadership
  • The schedule for this position after training is Saturday - Wednesday

The Right Fit:

  • Excellent communication, time management, core troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • A desire to learn new skills and software.
  • The ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong familiarity with at least one of the following operating systems: Windows, MacOS
  • The ability to commute to the San Mateo Office (strongly preferred but flexible)

Bonus Points For:

  • Familiarity with the Windows and Linux/Unix command line
  • Knowledge to generate and review Windows and MacOS process lists
  • Understanding of API's
  • Ability to create, understand, and run scripts

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is $48,000 to $58,000
