But while there is a lot to celebrate in our past, there is almost as much opportunity ahead of us. We are seeking a 6 month contract Sr. Digital Web Marketing Manager!

Backblaze is looking for a digital marketing manager to accelerate its market potential by driving awareness and demand through digital channels. The ideal candidate will leverage experience with website design/UX, SEO, and lead generation to drive traffic and conversions.

This role will require you to spearhead the modernization of our marketing website (including the rollout of a refreshed information architecture, content strategy, and user interface while optimizing for performance and conversion).  You’ll work with Design, PMM,  Publishing, Engineering, and Operations to execute against the vision. The goal is to represent our brand identity and increase the velocity of our self-service and sales-assisted funnels through increasing traffic and conversion rates.  

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in B2B and B2C web marketing and the appropriate martech stack required to make our vision come to life. 

What You’ll Do:

  • This role requires a combination of operational acumen, tactical execution, data analytics, and a deep understanding of business funnels for both B2B and B2C SaaS subscription models
  • Spearhead the creation and launch of a refreshed website for prospects and customers
  • Establish website marketing objectives and KPIs and track progress toward goals
  • Own project management for the website marketing initiatives 
  • Drive best-in-class online customer experience by collaborating with UX, Design, and Engineering to craft information architecture, site maps, and navigation that helps visitors easily find what they are looking for while making our product portfolio clear
  • Work with Operations to standardize new processes and governance for the website
  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties
  • Use data and insights as a basis for all decisions, optimizations, and A/B tests
  • Report out key performance metrics on a weekly/monthly basis

The Right Fit:

  • 7+ years of experience in digital and/or web marketing (top-of-funnel marketing and lead generation),  both as an individual contributor and as a manager
  • 5+ years of experience with developers and designers
  • Familiarity with web martech stack including analytics tools, CMS, personalization, and A/B testing platforms
  • Strong project management/organizational skills required
  • Experience building and executing best practices in digital functions including web development, acquisition marketing (SEO), and web analytics
  • Knowledge of web fundamentals including web design principles and approaches, the impact of various technical design choices, and their impact on the user experience
  • Experience in both B2B SaaS sales-assisted motions and B2C self-service
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to take large sets of data and make sensible decisions
  • A self-starter who thrives amid ambiguity
  • A strong communicator who is comfortable presenting to senior leaders
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, or equivalent from an accredited college or university

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

 The pay range for this contractor position is $75 to $115 per hour.
