But while there is a lot to celebrate in our past, there is almost as much opportunity ahead of us. We are seeking a Software QA Engineer - Manual (Contract) to join our growing team! This is a 6-month contract.

This position will be based out of our headquarters in San Mateo, California. We are conveniently located near CalTrain, and Highways 280 and 101. We also offer a flexible schedule so employees can work remotely when necessary.

What You'll Do:

  • Manual testing of front-end including browser compatibility, ADA, and device compatibility testing
  • Identify, record, document reproducible steps thoroughly, and track defects to resolution
  • Ability to design and execute test scenarios for new software features
  • Perform regression testing before weekly software pushes
  • Perform verification testing of fixed defects
  • Interact with developers to resolve defects, clarify functionality and resolve usability issues
  • Ability to take initiative like suggesting and completing test plans without being told to do so

The Right Fit:

  • 3+ years of experience in website manual testing
  • An ability to work independently across multiple projects, and to meet deadlines.
  • An ability to rapidly grasp and apply complex business and technical concepts
  • Ability to communicate easily with a diverse group of people
  • Must have a sound understanding of the software development and software test life cycle
  • Must have a sound understanding of the Agile methodology
  • CSS, HTML, JavaScript front-end testing experience
  • Familiar with TFS, JIRA, or similar Test Management/bug tracking tool

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The pay range for this contractor position is $40 to $56 per hour.
