But while there is a lot to celebrate in our past, there is almost as much opportunity ahead of us. We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer
This position is located in San Mateo, California but will also consider remote work as long as you're no more than three time zones away and can come to San Mateo now and then.
What You’ll Do:
As a part of the team, you’ll help design and develop software solutions for operating large scale services
Participate in design and code reviews and architecture audits where required.
Participate in building a reliable, flexible, and extensible set of shared services, APIs, and platforms using Agile development practices
Participate in creating technical designs and documentation, and drive agreements with cross-functional stakeholders
Work with product teams and operations teams such as Data Center, Networking, SRE, Security teams to ensure solutions are well planned and delivered on-time
The Right Fit:
5+ years of professional engineering experience with object oriented Python development, preferably with backend or full stack.
Experience with running software in a Linux environment.
Has worked in an Agile and Waterfall development framework and has participated in all aspects of the software development lifecycle - including design, implementation, and deployment.
Can collaborate with other developers, system engineers, site reliability engineers, and data center engineers to integrate requirements and drive resolutions.
Experience with technologies like SQL/NoSQL databases, REST API, containers and orchestration, CI/CD tools, infrastructure as code, and data center inventory management.
Ensure application performance, uptime, manageability, and scalability while maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design.
Nice to have: experience with servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
