Summary

Manage storage product and solution marketing for Backblaze offerings that serve people managing media production workflows–including creators, editors, digital asset managers, C-levels, and the IT people who support them. Why? So customers can more easily advance brilliant work. You’ll own the outcomes as the person spearheading efforts to build out and build upon strategies, messaging, plans, programs, materials in service of measurable goals—in close collaboration with teammates across marketing, sales, partnership, and product management. This position reports to our Head of Product Marketing. Are you ready to Blaze on?

What You'll Do:

  • Develop compelling positioning and messaging informed by strategy, market insights and customer research, and knowledge of our products and those of key competitors
  • Drive high-impact go-to-market strategies, and execute launches and programs, to move the business—with a team of resources supporting your vision and the objectives and goals you define
  • Roll up your sleeves and personally deliver priority tactics and collateral—ie: test web flows, emails, case studies, blog posts, and a few big events a year
  • Be the expert and internal advocate of our customers (and prospects), including owning personas and ICPs we pursue, and driving research when needed to inform or update understanding and efforts
  • Guide exploration of select new market opportunities, and recommend if / how best to proceed
  • Help enable customer-facing teams with talking points and other materials for the products under you
  • Manage marketing investment strategies to effectively deliver your revenue within your budget

The Right Fit:

  • 5+ years of technology marketing experience, incl. 3+ years in a dedicated product marketing role
  • Strong track record favorably impacting customer and pipeline outcomes via strong positioning and messaging, campaign planning and execution, and overall thought leadership
  • Data-oriented—comfortable interpreting, summarizing, and driving meaningful actions from data
  • Skillful planning and carrying out multiple initiatives or programs concurrently
  • Ability to effectively engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong orientation around team, delighting customers, and overall having a positive impact
  • Media storage, management, or workflow experience preferred
